Re: Trafficators - Anyone installed these on their trucks

SMV signs are supposed to be used only on agricultural equipment going under 25 miles per hour.

I suggest you find some LED lamp assemblies for your tail lights and turn signals.

Seller does not point out the wear on gear. You need to look at pictures carefully.

Re: Z tool mystery

5-Z tools are tools used in manufacturing, maybe otherwise also. I have a list of 24 of these, but none with as high a number as yours. there is one 16Z tool, which is a plate used for heating up a ring gear to install on a flywheel. I have no 15Z's (yet).

Re: Side View Mirror Bracket AA-17698 (14-11/16" long)

Neil, It is hard to believe they cast all those little holes in this part. Is that what the drawing shows?
And, if you make a mold from an impression of an actual part, how do you make the poured cavity bigger to allow for shrinkage? Doesn't this produce parts smaller than desired?

[quote]random side question: what was their reasoning for relocating it the 3rd time? Re: Did Pickups have AA engines?

The answer to your question is complicated by the fact that so many people are calling a one and a half ton chassis truck a pickup. If you are referring to the light chassis pickup, they were probably not built with AA engine/trans assemblies.

Re: '30-'31 Gas tankcleaning

C'mon Shelby, you cannot know that you got every grain of sand out, unless you counted them before and after! If you managed to vacuum every corner of every baffle, you must have had a very elaborate sequence of bending the vacuum tube that you used, and X-ray eyes to know where it was operating, an...

Re: Battery Charging

In a Model A, I always use my right foot on the starter button and the gas pedal. I don't have time to put it on the brake, unless you are talking a modern car with automatic trans. - they are a different story.
