Re: 1928 AA Hub Cap

Before anyone sacrifices a cap, I'll ask a friend of mine who owned a plating business (until the EPA put him out of business) what the process would be to remove the existing plating. I should be able to see him today or tomorrow. I'd hate to see one of these caps destroyed when there most likely i...

Re: 1928 AA Hub Cap

Has anyone had any 1928 AA hub caps re chromed lately. Am wondering what a clean, crisp, set of 5 would cost these days. Thanks for any and all info. Holy crow, we're all scratching to get five to start with . I, as you, am concerned about the re-plating. I don't want to lose the script. If an...

Couldn't agree with you more. Another seller believing locker room talk who will find out the hard way after it sits on his driveway for a number of months. I just post them so folks can see whats out there. Doesn't cost to look.

Another AA for sale

http://www.dmafc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=141 You'll have to go to the club's car gallery to see it. At least it has somewhat of a reasonable price, especially if it's anywhere near the quality he has stated.

Re: Whats This ?.

Maybe a 1929 QC? Just kidding. That's really unusual. Perhaps Neil will comment on this. He seems to find the odd ball stuff or it's dropped in his lap. I wouldn't think it would be beneficial to have made a kit to extract the worm, as the worm is steel and the driven gear is bronze. Bonze being the...

Re: Expensive Truck

Time will most likely be the educator. As we see all too often, owners who sell begin believing the locker room talk. We'll just have to follow it and see what happens. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it being sold for this price. If he did errantly strike the wrong keys, he'll soon realize it w...

Another 28 AA with wood bed

http://www.collectorcarads.com/Ford-AA-Truck/38087 Bed wood is going to pooch when the wood moves. The floor wood is butted against each other with no room for movement. That's why, partially, they used skid strips as it left a margin between deck boards for movement due to weather conditions. An i...

Re: 28 AA stake side for sale

Great lookin' truck, no? Thanks for the daily pix fix Alan. Best, russ My pleasure Russ. The only thing about the bed is the fact that the floor boards are butted up against each other and when the wood begins to move it's going to pooch up the seams. Not good. I guess if one kept it in a temp/humi...
