Event Posting

Today was my first viewing of the "AA Club House" even though I've been a member for quite a few years now. I'll have to attend more often as it was quite interesting. However, I have a request based on my viewing a few posts. Please, if you have advanced information, i.e., already know da...

Re: Barn Find AA in IL: Pics!

I'm really glad that you posted the photos as it shows that the "Express" rear fenders are not unique to the Express. They were provided on the other beds as well and most of the flatbed fellows threw them off as they were "in the way". I took note of the spare tire carrier and w...

Re: Hydraulic Conversion

OK, here's what I know. I went to look at a 1930 w/29 tin on it and it had "hyd" brakes. The job was accomplished by using a hole saw on the backing plate and drilling two holes to mount the hyd. cyl's. The brake shoes were modified to accept the brake shoe rods that the cyl. pushes the sh...

Re: FRAMES 'A MODELS AND AA MODELS'

Shorthaul, I'm with Jimy. Henry shot the whole chassis black when it went down the line. If POR 15 is to expensive then shoot the whole chassis with chassis black from one of the vendors who provide products for automotive restoration. I personally prefer chassis black, especially if the vehicle is ...

Re: Questions about brake parts and 600w oil

Go to our archives. There is an extensive discussion on it. I believe you will find it quite interesting. If you would like to know about an oil that is quite effective, email me and I'll provide an interesting insight to this age old discussion. I don't have the time tonight, otherwise I would sit ...

Re: Duo Drive as an OD

Uh.......I've been involved in building a new shop and recovering from major back surgery. I'm close to having the shop completed which will allow me to grade, deposit crushed blue shale for a driving surface, install a new "seating fence", ect, ect., adinfinitum. I'm just the guy who stee...

Duo Drive as an OD

Uh.......AA's don't have axle flanges. You would have to drill the hubs/drum. :^) The rear axle assy. is a 3/4 floater. Using adapters will would put the front wheels out of line with the center of the front fenders and will not work with duals on the rear axle to the best of my knowledge. It's fun ...

Re: 31 closed cab AA Hard top

Jared, is that all he wants? There's one here (locally - No. CA) on a 157" wb that the fellow always wants $4K for it. The truck is just a cab and chassis, but all there. It will most likely sit out in the open until it rots to the ground. Shame, as it's still an applicable restoration. For how...

Re: WTB 28 hub caps?

Possibly the cost of having the Ford script on them would make it prohibited. One must pay Ford to use their logo and script and that most likely becomes quite expensive unless you are dealing with volume. I'm not an expert in that endeavor, but that comes to mind.http://forums.aa-fords.com/posting....

Update: Gear Project for Worm & Bevel Drive

My apologies for seemingly falling off the face of the earth. The project is in limbo due to circumstances unforseen. Primarily, I lost my desktop computer due to a logic board failure. An attempt was made by the service center whom I purchased a new computer through, but a majority of my files were...
