I am replacing the engine in my '30 AA tomorrow and wanted to know if it is easier to take out the transmission with the engine , or leave it in

i found summit racing to be good prices, they sell coaker tires and shipping was cheaper than coaker when i bought mine .

guys thats about the only way these AA are going to light them up .thanks for the info , i just didnt know what modern parts cleaner would do to the brake shoes .

can you tell me if I can use brake cleaner to spray on my brakes and inner parts as the seal went bad and grease got in there. also in the rear hub of my 1930 is about a 1/2" hole (picture). while cleaning found a metal spacer in one, but not the other. do I need one in each? hub has 2- 1/2&quo...

got the timing gear off, had to remove radiator and use impact wrench. it was misssing 4 teeth when I started, missing about 40 now. gear that came off is a textolite from GE pat'd may 13, 1913- july 8, 1924. thanks for the reply i guess fiber and thanks about the wrench, eng is in the truck and i just took off the cover, dont have a wrench to fit that. it will be fun trying to replace wile in the truck. but i guess it can be done. thanks again guys. Giff

oil tube is there , is fiber gear better than the aluminum, its only about 25.00 more . tec @ macs said fiber gear probably broke with the back fire , had timing off a bit, but my 15 year old had a great time driving it around in the back field for the day. well worth the cost of a timing gear thank...

timing gear question
guys i need to replace my timing gear, how do i determine if i need a standard or .003 or .005 . and while i have the pan off i will rebuild the oil pump anything else i should do, while pan is off and timing gear is out. thanks for your help.
