My 30 with the 5:14 moves along nicely at 40 mph. Any faster and the motor just sounds like it's screaming!

Mine do on my 1930.

This is advertised as a 1929 Ford Model A...it says Ford on the front, but a Model A?... it doesn't look like one. What do you think? It's neat!

I'm considering buying a rebuilt short block from a private party, he says it's from a 29 or 30 AA.
Is there any difference between AA and A motors?...or difference in the years? I'll be putting it in a 1930 AA.

Don't know where you live, but I just had my 30 re-cored by a shop in Woodstock IL.

I've had my Model AA out for a couple of short trips now, I've noticed that the amp meter gets hot, so hot, you can't touch it. Is this normal? I think not, but what would be the cause?

4130 would not be the original number stamped on the frame of a '30 so raising the cab would likely not help you out any.
