Re: Water puumps

You can remove the castle nut and sand a bit off of the bottom of the nut in order to get the hole to line up.

Re: Pictures

Bring them down to about 1 MB.

If you open the picture on your computer and right click on it you should have an option menu open up. Pick the option to resize. Often there will be an option there listed as best for emailing. Pick that one.

Re: Pictures

At the bottom of your post click on attachments and select the photo you want to attach. If your photo is too large you will need to make it smaller first. Just open your picture on your computer and resize it and save it. I keep a folder on my desktop just for placing resized pictures in if for pos...

Re: Warford Restoration

I rebuilt one for my truck a few years ago. You can find detailed pictures on my Ford Barn forum profile Warford album. You might find them useful.

Re: Head bolt stud location

The slightly longer stud is between #3 & #4 in the center of the head. If you are wanting to use the clamp to hold the armored distributor cable in place then use the longer stud. If you are not going to use the clamp get another of the short studs and use it there instead. Using the longer stud...

Re: 1929 wire wheel hubcaps

I'm super sorry to hear about that. A lot of history lost.
I'm not needing the hub caps but if you put the item number in your posting it will help others find it.

Are any of the axles and warfords that went through the fire possibly salvageable?

Re: Set of 1929 Bud rims with hubcaps

I believe that it may still be possible to send them individually through the U.S. mail. Wrap a piece of duct tape around the wheel the same as the flap would mount and write the addresses on the tape. If the rings won't stay in place put a two or three small spot welds to hold them in place. They c...

Re: worm drive drive shaft

I remove the rear most rivet. The housing at that point has a little bit larger diameter giving the replacement pin more room.
I'd be reluctant to swap the bronze gear around as by this time the gears are pretty comfortable running where they are.
