Well I had a quick look at my brakes this morning and noticed that the front brake levers are straight up and down and are not 15 degrees forward. I would have to asume tha is some how adjustable . I will be ordering the service bulletins for the truck today all the other parts are free and move eas...

I replaced the front woven shoes with organic . I never checked the arch . The front drums I do believe are steel . Did not need to do anything with the rear shoes or drums . They are woven on steel . Will installing woven shoes on the front help?

poor brakes on our early 28 .

The brakes on our 28AA pepsi truck are hard to work . The shoes are new -- the linkages are free .. yet it takes 2 men and an army to apply the brake . mind you it stops easier with the brake lever (left hand ). I am new to this and do not know how to fix . Help me whoa her down ?

Not that cocerned about the value -- Real cool to know the history -- an older post from farmerden shows a Canadian cab which is virtually identicle to ours . Any info is always nice to have so I can give an answer to questions asked at shows .

I do believe we have a something called a Canadian cab on our AA Chassis -- Is there any info out there on this ?
and how rare are they ? Only in Canada EH

I am going to drain the oil next week and put in the straight non detergent SAE 30 oil and skip on the lucas oil treatment .. Heard that makes it too thick and could cause issues . Thanks guys -- Your advise is always greatfull -- being a rookie at this everything helps

are 1/2 in shaft starters normal in an aa engine ?

When did they stop using the 1/2 inch drive 6 Volt starters ? We have one in our Pepsi Truck . I had the drive break a couple of weeks ago but was able to get the parts to fix by looking up a Model T . Is there anything I should be doing ( maintainance ) to keep this starter alive ? It realy works w...

Will be doing that --already have a couple of people from fordbarn that have them for sale -- besides the truck is now in storage anyway . have the whole summer to shop . Thanks for all your help out there . I have to say you all know your stuff .

Awesome picture and info -- I believe I will go ahead and install the port in the firewall . The truck does some Christmas Parades and it does get rather chilly up here -- Thanks for all your help

Did this exhaust manifold come with this engine from new ( ser# CAA11296 ) ? I know it is for heating the cab but does anyone have a picture of one that is completly hooked up . The firewall was replaced back in 1980 by someone else and It would be cool ( or should I say warm ) to try to put back to...

The brake shoes are good but the adjusters need help -- They work but not as good as they should -- This will be a fall project -- I will need to pull the wheels anyway and check and pack bearings -- I am constanly learning with the truck --
