Adding to the collection

Now that the '29 is done and running well, I have recently acquired a 1950 dodge B2B 1/2 ton 5 window. Anybody got any helpful hints, links what I am in for? I have all of the parts, was disassembled for restoration and never completed. Thanks

Rear View Mirror Placement

I have a rear view mirror and was wondering does it extend down below the cross member into the window area or not. I don't have access to official judging stands and just need to see where it should go.

Re: Just minding my own business then................

Well, I got it apart and found some pieces. I read where I was supposed to install the clutch with the shorter flange on the clutch toward the flywheel. Well I honestly don't remember considering that on the install. Is that why it failed? Or do they just fail from time to time?

I put truck in gear and push it back and forth and the gears spin. When I start the engine, pressure plate spins and looks normal. I do get a slight soun...

Re: Just minding my own business then................

Ok well the speedometer does not move when in gear and engine reeving. So we can discount the rear? I should mention that when I towed it home and parked it outside the barn. Then with the engine on it wouldn't go into gear. So i shut off engine put it in gear and backed it into the barn. Since then...

Re: Head gasket leak

Hi, I have been in the same spot and while these leaks are troublesome, unless excessive they are tolerable. If they are not tolerable I have found that head gasket sealer additives cover the small weeping spots that cause these leakes and eliminate the problem. Not a fan of additives but they do wo...
