Re: 4 Speed Transmission Tower
Thanks Keith & Bob. I'm kind of flying blind. I don't have much literature/schematics for the AA. Noticed that you referenced a parts book. Is there somewhere I can get one of those?

Re: 4 Speed Transmission Tower
Thanks, Keith. Found something else interesting. I got the three springs and ball bearings out and noticed that one of the springs is a little thinner and longer than the other two. Is this correct or was one replaced at some time? Could a weak spring allow the transmission to pop out of gear?

Finally got shifter rods out of the tower. Attached is a picture of the 3rd/4th gear rod with a movable pin in it. Is this correct?

Popping out of 4th gear
Recently put together a AA and on road test the transmission popped out of 4th gear. Had the transmission apart and thought the gears all looked good. Did I miss something or would this be caused by something else? the other 3 gears run fine. Thanks

Re: Dump Truck
Welcome--I'm not the newest member anymore. I have a late '31 dumper with I believe a Little Giant manual dump. Living on the other coast in Georgia.

Thanks for the help. It will be fun trying to get more info on bed. Just finished a Panel Delivery, but I think the big truck will be more fun putting together.

Dump Bed Manufacturer
I have purchased a AA with a grain/coal dump bed. Don't think it is a Ford bed. Has hand crank chain hoist. Think it might be a Detwiler? Can anyone provide more info? Thanks
