Re: Double A'er - Mailed 4/30
Got mine yesterday.
But I am only a few miles away from where Neil lives.
Usually the USPS sends my local mail to Kansas City to be sorted and re mailed.
Awesome newsletter as usual.

Re: Had my wheels sandblasted and....
Hi SteveK,
That is exactly how the welder did my wheel. Took him less time to grind and weld it
then to set up his portable welder. Friend of one of my sons so we traded some work.

Had my wheels sandblasted and....
The sandblast guy said there was a crack in one of the wheels.
Is this something that can be welded or do I need to find another wheel?
This wheel was the passenger side outer dual wheel on my late 1930 AA 157.
Thanks

Re: Maremount helper springs
Here is a picture of the Maremount spring that was on my late 1930 AA-157 when I bought it. The truck was, at one time, used in the Denver area by a furniture company. I don't have any good pictures of Maremount springs so I don't know if this spring is a 10x, 20x, or 30x. https://s1.postimg.org/1ko...

Re: dsipatch pocket location
This was in the boxes I received when I bought an AA 157 Ford truck that was used as a moving van in Denver, Colorado. Pocket had 3 metal backing strips behind the door panel and the assembly was held together with rivets. A couple rivet heads can be seen in the picture. I basically drilled them out...

Cross Sill Info Needed for 185A Platform
Finally might be able to start building a platform for my late 1930 AA157. I believe the correct platform is the 185A as the truck has a tapered frame. I am using Neil Wilson's excellent article on this platform and it has most of the dimensions that I need, however I can't find the height of the 7 ...

Re: 185-A platform for lt30-E31 AA-157
Hi Shorthaul,
I am in Lakewood Colorado just west of Denver. Would be interested in your truck bed.
My frame is the tapered one. Is your bed for that one?

Re: 185-A platform for lt30-E31 AA-157
Hi ModelAkid , I like your idea. I have a heated place to store the wood for a couple months. I checked into kiln dried hardwood at Austin Hardwoods in Denver. After the sticker shock on prices I decided to take another path on the wood. They have kiln dried white pine also, but it is still pricey. ...

Thanks Neil for posting the dimensions and the contact info.
I am in the process of gathering parts to build this platform. Will wait, of course, to purchase the wood since
most wood bought from the lumberyards will warp overnight these days.

185-A platform for lt30-E31 AA-157
Since I can't seem to find one for sale in the known universe for my tapered frame AA, I guess I will attempt to build one. Will use Neil Wilsons very detailed article on this platform in the 2008 FMAATC newsletter as a guide. I have a couple of questions though. 1. Can't find (or missed) the top to...
