AA Truck Judging Standards
Hello Members, I was looking through my Dad's old Restorer Mag's and found a 1988, Jul/August issue, part 1 of AA judging standards. Part 2 is in the Sept/Oct but that issue is missing. Anyone have a photo copy of the article or that issue for sale. Very interested as it can assist with my project a...

changing the rear axle
Has anyone swapped the 30 aa rear axle for say a 1951 Ford 3/4 ton F3 axle. It looks to be the same diameter housing. Will the spring seats fit, or would I have to change to the later springs?

Re: Early 30 frame
Thanks for the reply. It is the short wheelbase. I did repair a 1932 flat bed, a while back, and used the 5/4 deck boards for the frame sills. Judging form Neil's link, it looks to be the same.

Early 30 frame
Hello members, I have a question about a recent purchase, it's an early 30, with tapered frame. What rear frame/ bed supports were used for the stake bodys. Planning on a home made flat bed/stake. When did frames change to parallel?

Re: 29 or 30 AA ?
Thanks for your responses. The truck is basically running chassis with a partial cowl, windshield missing. Has the screw on gas cap and the five hole wheels. Don't have it home yet as I'm waiting for storage space and a trailer to tow it home then will have time to investigate frame number to see if...

Re: rear axle float
Thanks for the info. The roller bearings in the drums look fine. The rear rolled good before I took apart from the frame. There seemed to be some watery goo in the differential housing. What is the best way to flush out the rear?
