Ok, I will check out the measurement of the clip bar when I get it off.
The crossmember does have a reinforcement riveted on the underside area that meets the spring.

The A Starting Crank Bearing will be easy to find.
I'll have to start looking for a couple of AA-5455 spring clips to fit what ever spring is under there, I may have one.

Is the Starting Crank Bearing for a 29 AA the same as a 29 A? This would be part number A-5461-B. I see there is an AA-5461 listed for 30-31 in the Parts Price List, Effective July 1, 1931, but I don't see a listing for a 28-29 Starting Crank Bearing.
