Peter, twice you have said, "All four cylinders are ceased" and others have continued to ask "if it runs".
The word you are looking for is not ceased but rather seized meaning the engine is frozen or stuck.

Re: AA Truck Photos
And a few more (can't attach more than three photos at a time on the forum). The first one is a new Gulf Oil Tanker taken in front of the Gulf distributor's office. I would guess the truck is Gulf Orange in color. You can see the Gulf gas globes on the clockface gas pumps on the sidewalk behind it....

I came across several photos of AA's taken "back in the day" and thought I'd share them with my "Big Iron Buddies".

AA body style - Neil Wilson
Neil: I came across this photo of a '29 Model AA. It looks to be a special service body with a canopy top which in this case was used by a plumbing company. Notice it has a "pull out drawer" on the side of the bed just behind the passenger door. Also, wonder what is under the bed behind t...

Re: Ford AA, Ford-Timken Wanted!!
Guys: I think I found a photo of what he's looking for. GAZ-AAA truck was the triaxial variation of GAZ-AA (truck based in the American truck Ford-Timken). Here's a website with several great photos of them. http://panzerserra.blogspot.com/2012/11/bz-383-fuel-tank-in-gaz-aaa-truck-part_3.html Think...

Re: Restoration project ford model AA
Brian T: Since you identified the previous owner as av8, I found the original FOR SALE ad from 2010 describing all the modifications made to the truck such as new tyres £1000, new brakes all round, rear drums skimmed, new king pins, track rod ends, twin choke Weber, F150 steering box, etc. Your lin...

Re: Is this cab really a 28?
It looks to me like a Frankenstein - the back part of the cab appears to be the rear part of a '28-'29 Tudor Sedan - note in the photos at the bottom of the rear it has the holes for a spare tire mount like a sedan. It'd be hard to mount a spare there between the cab and the pickup bed. Fred

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearing
I have a handfull of tickets for this raffle that I will sell for half price. ;-) Chris: I too have some (now useless) stubs but am glad one of the out-of-state guys who bought a ticket won rather than one of our local club members. I personally bought some tickets which were in the drum with my na...

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearing
Gentlemen we have a WINNER! So you guys won't be waiting by the phone all night for the "lucky" call - I just arrived home from the awards banquet and our winner is JACK DEVENEY, of ST. PETERS, MISSOURI (a suburb of St. Louis, MO)! I called him when his ticket was drawn and had him on the...
