firewall upgrade to my M30 platform

The most significant modification I'll make to my truck is the installation of a '31 indented firewall and '31 gas tank. Was the firewall spot welded, riveted or were machine screws used to fasten the firewall to the body? From the random holes along the body where the firewall slips in it would app...

cab wood hardware

I purchased a complete closed cab wood kit many years ago, though now looking at my original wood it appears to be in pretty good shape. I'm inclined to leave it be and only replace the roof ribs that were broken. Though I do need a complete nut and bolt kit, but I'm not seeing a specific kit listed...

Rear body bolt location and seat pan

My cab floor was a rusted mess so I installed a new seat pan and bottom rear section of the cab (along with rear cab corners and bottom). I don't recall exactly where the seat frame gets fastened to the floor plan, seems to fit better with the body to frame bolts just in front though having a notch ...

Dormant project coming back to life!

Hey fellow AA’ers! I bought my truck in 1999 and shortly after that I dismantled it to completely rebuild it. I pretty much finished the running gear in the first couple years. The project went dormant for 15 years (family, kids, built two houses, etc) but I’ve finally cleared a spot in the shop and...

Thread Bumping & Commerical Advertising

I've keep the rules of conduct on the forum pretty minimal because I believe having many rules becomes a burden on the administration (yours truly) but on the flip side can leave much up to the individual member on what is considered appropriate. I would ask that all members (with or without commerc...

Re: Logging in

Are there any other members having to keep logging in, despite clicking the remember me box, (twice today) I have e mailed MikeG several times with no response. Pardon me Brian, but I've responded to every email you have sent me, numerous times in fact. You have TWO accounts on this forum, "BrianT"...

Re: 1929 Ford open cab pick-up

Hello Shelby, That disappearing write up as happened to me several times, I think it happens when 2 posts go in at exactly the same time, when you go to check another posting is your place , maybe be Mike can explain this. I've seen posts be submitted to the database at the same time without issues...

Server and Forum Upgrades

Hi, over the last couple days I've been busy moving the forums to a new server and while I was at it I upgraded the forum software to the latest phpBB version. You'll notice a different look to the forums but pretty much everything continues to work as it did before. I'll fix up the logo file so we ...

Body Shops in Washington

I'm now ready to have all the body work done on my AA. Been looking around at some custom shops in the Washington area and found one (but now lost my notes) and was recommended another in Anacortes WA. Curious if any members have recommendations for a shop who understands these old rigs and would do...

Place to clean out gas tank

Hello AA Forum'ers, Are radiator shops still the place to go to get your old gas tank cleaned out? I'm in Washington State and I'm looking for a place somewhat local to me (I'm in the San Juan Islands, so any place will be a ferry boat trip away) ideally somewhere up north near Mt. Vernon or Belling...
