Re: Rear spring pivot bolt?

30 AA rear spring rear pivot bolt removal? I removed the cross pin but cannot remove the main pin. Does it unscrew or press out? Has a screwdriver like slot My guess is that you are referring to AA-5799 pin for the rear spring eye. With the lock pin removed from the seat, the AA-5799 pin slides out...

Re: Platform & Express bed left rear fender spacer

Stakebed,
Actually, your part is for the 88-A. The 89-A takes a different part AA-16425 is the right-hand part. RGJS page E-75.

Re: Rear springs on 29 AA

FYI - AA-5560-C – A 13 leaf assembly which had the same variety of individual parts design changes as for AA-5560-B 16 leaf spring assembly. It was used for the Panel Deliveries 85-A and B, Standard and Deluxe Police Patrols 290-A and 285-A, Deluxe Delivery 300-A, and the Express 195-A and 197-A.

Re: 29-29 worm drive rear end

I am overhauling the hi speed rear end in my 28 express. I split the cases and all the gears and bearings look real good. I believe the truck had very low mileage on it. I do have one small concern, when standing behind the rear end,( looking toward the transmission), if you look at ea. tooth of th...

Re: Reproduction Express Bed panels

I have a reproduction express bed for my truck, but it was purchased over 20 years ago at Hershey and was from my understanding a limited amount one time run. I have never heard or seen of any since Not sure of who the metal worker was or if still in business, but amazingly accurate and can tell no...

Re: Reproduction Express Bed panels

I have heard that someone is reproducing Express Bed panels. Does anybody know who? Chris, I don't know of any person/shop making 89-A panels. Frank Mastro has done lots of metal work on converting TT-to-AA express. He also gave a seminar of his work at the national in Oshkosh. For more information...

My 28 cab has tar or some kind of undercoating on floor. My question is how does back of cab attach to floor?
The 82-A lower cab back panel has a flange which sets on and riveted to the cab rear cross sill.

I suggest the dump truck in the ad above is a 1928 with air brushed 1929 wheels (not very well done), Note the rear edge of the splash apron and the hood louvres. Hmm.
Probably correct. Also note that there are no front bumpers. An early 1928 feature.

Re: Anthony gravity dump

Neil - do you think this same dump would have been available in early 30? My guess is likely yes. The attached is from the Ford Truck Fax - Other Bodies & Equipment section. It is probably taken from an Anthony ad. It shows two gravity dump bodies (but no Anthony model numbers are given). Note ...

Thanks for the reply. Picking truck up a week from Friday
FYI - In the above table, Type 202-A is a Ford assigned body identification. Your AA would not have that type id. Anthony would have their company id.

Re: Anthony gravity dump

I just purchased a March 1930 AA Ford with a Anthony gravity dump on it. Looking at AA Ford’s web site it says they were installed 7/30 and later. Is this gravity box correct for this March 30 truck? Yes, Bob C is correct that Ford didn't sell complete dump trucks prior to the dates indicated on th...

I think 7.00x20 off hand. Dave
Ford used 600x20 tires as far as I know. Also, there could be ware on the axle where the stop hits.
