Re: AA or no?
Yes, it is a 195-A express cargo body (supplied to Ford by Budd). Actual production was 1/31 through 3/32 (2,390 total production). And, with some body changes, this body was used after the AA as Bud indicates. There is lots of information at https://aafords.com/open-bodies/express-bodies/195-a-expr...

Re: Measurement needed 1930 AA
Working on a 1930 AA I replaced the front part of the sub rails and I need to red drill the holes. Can anyone pull a measurement from the center of the cowl post bolt back to the center of the first seat rivet? Thanks! Actually, the measurement is 12-1/2" (d1 seat riser) or 14-1/8" to 4-3/16" (d2 s...

Re: 88-A Platform Bed Questions
1. Locking stake pocket - square hole on the right 2. Rear external stake pockets – no holes on the face 3. Platform finish – RGJS E-83 - The cab plus the hood were painted with pyroxylin (lacquer) paint which was not polished. Wood parts on open cargo bodies were completely assembled and painted wi...

Re: Warford Install Template for seat riser
Does anyone have a drawing or the measurements of where to cut the holes and the correct size of the holes for installing a Warford transmission in a 28 Express? At one time I ran across this drawing on the site but can't seem to find it now. I am replacing the dual high with a Warford, and I need ...

Re: New guy with some questions.
Thanks for the reply Mr. Wilson. I made a typo on my last reply on the cab numbers. I tried to go back in and fix it but was unable to. Another question I have is the floor pans made out of wood and not sheetmetal. Also I assume that most of the cab metal from the model a truck interchanges. 82-A f...

Re: New guy with some questions.
Thank you Mr. Wilson. So I should have no problem finding the truck but with some other form of bed. I can live with that. Who are some of the manufacturers or companies that have cab and front end sheetmetal available for truck. I just want to get a feel for what’s out there that when I start look...

Re: New guy with some questions.
Thank you for the help. That explains a lot. So can you specify what model the Walton truck was I thought it was a 29 aa express. I’m wanting to get a similar model but from what I understand the Bed would be hard to come by. I would be happy finding a similar model cab and putting a flatbed on it....

Re: New guy with some questions.
New guy here with some questions about the model aa truck. I want to buy a model aa truck this summer. Can you guys tell me what is available for aftermarket sheetmetal for these trucks. I’m interested in a aa express truck but know they are like finding hens teeth. I read somewhere that guys were ...

Re: 28-29 AA speedometer cable grommets
I also need a speedo grommet for my early '28 truck frame and am considering part number 9600K219 from McMaster-Carr. Take a look, it is for 3/16 thick material (good) but for a 1-3/8" diameter hole. My frame crossmember hole is 1-1/8" diameter. So I'm thinking that since you have to split the grom...

Re: 88-A Platform Bed Question
Dave, On each end of both of the original side members (AA-88091), there are 2 punched holes. Are they supposed to be there, or should I weld them up? Holes are not original. Is it truly accurate that the AA-88084 bracket (side sill to frame) extends past the edge of the wood floor side sill (AA-880...

Hi, I need some direction with my fender / shield / running board installation. I have a 2/31 AA: I know that's a lot to follow, but you guys always have the answers! Thanks, Dave 1. Does anyone have a picture of the long running boards for a 1931 that they would share? The ones I have look like no...

Does anyone have an original 1932 July BB Service Bulletin?
I am looking for a high resolution scan of page 35 (shows AA repair coupling shaft - see attached)?

Re: Cotter pins
FYI - I modified the excel work book I received and saved it for downloading at: https://app.box.com/s/n0o9gtdm4fw4dcc0471slopr8nm0d1s7 This file has two worksheets - cotter part seq. and location seq. It would be more useful with a count column for the number used at a location. I don't know the ti...
