Re: Express bed boards

Remember the wood filler inside the #3 side panel support and reinforcement assembly (see photo). Without this filler, the floor boards will not lay flat.

Re: running boards

Are these AA? if so what are they worth? anyone looking for a pair? Those look like the long AA running boards to me. Your photo is too small to tell if they are the design 1 or 2. Details are found at http://aafords.com/aa-chassis/aa-16000-fenders/#rb. Reproductions do not have the Ford script - $...

Re: Hey Neil!!

What has happened to that Express you bought on eBay a few years ago? Chris, I completed the metal work on the express body and made/fit the sills. I upgraded to a better tail gate and now have NOS rear fenders. Working on restoration of the rear spring pivots (one side done). Will restore the rear...

Re: Express bed boards

I have cut my bed boards 7 3/16 wide. I now need to cut groves for bed strips. Question - how far from the board edge is the grove. How wide and deep is the grove? Ford sold five different express bodies. My guess is you have the 89-A? Your skid strips and side retainers should be used to determine...

Re: Rear fenders

This is probably a dumb question but can pickup rear fenders be used for the AA truck? I think the truck wheels are slightly bigger in diameter but in diameter but wondering if they would still clear the wheels. My truck is a mixture of years so I am more after function than anything. Original rear...

Re: downshifting transmission help!

Thanks I will give,r a try. Worried about chipping some gears. Will get to know sound and try. If you rev the engine correctly, the shift lever will allow moving into the lower gear fairly easy. To prevent gear chipping, you should not force/jam into the lower gear. It takes practice to learn (a fl...
