Re: Paint colors
There is a 3rd 1928 commercial color. It is L'Anse Green dark. The 2nd ed of Model A Ford Paint & Finish Guide lists this color as a 1929 color. This is incorrect. A July 11, 1928 Fargo letter lists L'Anse Green dark. This is definitely a commercial color and is listed in the Indianapolis letter of ...

Re: Oversize Model A looking rear axle
I have one of those rear ends with its unique torque tube. It has the hubs with separate service brake shoes. The end of the torque tube that attaches to the rear end housing has the letter "A" on it. Contrary to what is quoted in the Service Letters/Service Bulletins this letter is on the torque tu...

Re: WANTED 88-A Rear Brake Light Bracket
The A13406 bracket Snyders sells is for 1929 and later. The photo of the truck above shows the 1928 style tail light. This tail light and bracket are one piece, that is the licence plate bracket and the back of the tail light is one piece. Sound confusing? On the top of the tail light on the truck a...

Re: 1928 29 Sparton Horn Mount Bracket
The Sparton horn for the model A is model AF. Sparks Withington made several Sparton models. Yours is for a non Ford car. On the tag it quotes the model. I can't read it, but it is not AF. The correct horn has a bell shaped front end. Ford started with three different make horn suppliers and later a...

Re: Wing nut for top bracket hold down
There is a factory photo of a 76B open cab on the club web sight. Everything seems to be black. I realize it's a different cab, but this is a TRUCK. Ford didn't go crazy over details such as this. My advise: unless there is a judging standard for this item , save your money and keep it black or unpa...
