I found this website today and it looks like a great source for parts. Just thought I would share the wealth.

chassis swap
Hello Everyone, I have located a 1930 AA chassis with a good rearend and drive shafts. I have a 1929 AA currently. Can I set the '29 body parts on to the '30 frame or should I try to adapt the '30 rearend to the '29 chassis????? Which will be the easiest, fastest and cheapest route to take? I also w...

Don, I haven't found anything specific to the worm drive rear end yet, but I'm going on the assumption that if you adjust the Axle end play and other adjustments for a bevel gear drive - you will back into a well adjusted wormdrive. In other words, the sum of the parts will equal the whole. Does tha...

Wanted: any condition 28-29 closed cab pickup body/top wood
I am in need of your old 28-29 closed cab pickup body/top wood. I will take any piece in any condition and I will gladly pay the shipping and handling. Holy Cow, Buckwheat's alive!!!
Buckwheat lives!!! While I search for bearing to finsh my rear end rebuild, I decided to start on the engine next. This truck was rumored to have been started 2 years ago, but had been sitting outside for those last 2 years. We drained all of the deasel from the crankcase and poured in fresh oil, ri...

Free at last, free at last
The Buckwheat saga continues with the rear end finally freeing up. Remove of the rear plate on the on the '29 worm drive rear end. Remove the castle nut and large star washer (the washer is keyed so pry it off towards you, do not try to unscrew it) You will find a huge bearing that is rusted and fro...

coupler shaft
Good call Bob,
You are talking about the later '29 with the four speed and coupler shaft I assume. And you say in '30 they did away with the bearings in the coupler shaft. Hmmm I guess you wouldn't really need them in that short torque tube........

AA dual high unit update
My dual high unit seems to be fine,, it was my rear end that was locked up. I pulled the rearend this morning it has the same "will not roll" problem that it had on the truck. I still plan to replace the dual high unit with a coupler shaft eventually, since this truck will see alot of use....

29 to 30 change over
Ok Guys, Here is the staight foward question: Can you change out the 3 speed transmission and dual High unit in a 29AA for a 4 speed and short shaft setup from a 30/31? Will you have to change the rear end to a 30/31 also? Modifications to the crossmember or chassis? Will I gain anything(other that ...

freeing up the drive line
The driveline on my AA, with the auxillary transmission, will not turn. I can jackup both tires and they spin freely. If I jackup only one side, the wheel will move about 5-10 degrees and then bounce back(like the truck is in gear). How do you know for sure the aux is not engaged I can turn the moto...

tires
I am in need of tires for my '29 AA. The current tires are 600-20s on the original "dished in" rims. Is Coker the only place to get these? Does anyone have any used ones. I will replace them all before I hit the road but for now i need to roll it around.
