Re: 1930's Beverly Hills Rumble seat cam Video

I missed the gas price that is great!

Di you see at 1:45 on the right side of the road there is a sign that says 20, I wonder if it is a speed limit sign?

1930's Beverly Hills Rumble seat cam Video

I think that is an AA half way through the video, and check out the wrecker with the smashed car on it!

Re: Drivers Door Dent for Spare Tire

Good suggestion Neil. I will definitely try the wheels on the carrier once the weather breaks (it is currently 5 degrees outside!) especially since I have the 28/29. and also the 31 budd wheels so I can see if there is a difference in fitment with the door.

Re: Drivers Door Dent for Spare Tire

I found it Bud thanks, here is the link for anyone interested http://forums.aa-fords.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=801 These things seem kind of rare, I wonder if anyone who has owned one can speak to the functionality of the dented door as far as how much difference it makes? This link above from 20...

Re: Drivers Door Dent for Spare Tire

So was the side mount a factory option?

Was the door with relief in it standard issue for such an option? Does anyone have any good pictures of one?

Drivers Door Dent for Spare Tire

I have been looking at a lot of pictures of AA's and have seen very few with the drivers door with the "dent" in it to allow for the spare tire mounted on the cowl to help clear the door so it can open. How common was this? I have yet to mount a spare on my 31 with the fender well for the ...

Cool truck.
Truckman where did you find the wood dump body brochure that is great. How many pages are there to the brochure? Can you scan and post the others?

Re: AA Truck Club shirt design

Great design, I would take a large. I agree with on of the previous posters that if you could get rid of the white backround on the truck it would look better and also have the advantage of not cracking over time when put into the dryer, but it is just a nit pic. Super nice shirt

How long were the AA trucks in production?

Model A fords ended production in 1931. Did the AA's end production then as well or did the big trucks continue into 1932 and beyond?

What were they replaced by?

If the model A pickup was the Ford ElCamino of the day, what was the AA, the F350?

Is there a resource online to find out more about possible makers of the dump body and mechanisms?

Re: New 31 AA owner

How many different manufacturers of the manual lift beds were there? DO they typically mark them? I found an old ebay auction result from 2010 where a late 1931 AA dump with indented firewall and hard top with integrated visor like this sold. They listed the cab as a "rare part# 208-B built by ...

Re: New 31 AA owner

No history from the previous owner. It sat mostly unused with the exception of an occasional drive every few years apparently.

I added a link to the original post. Here is is as well.

Car cover for Model AA truck cab

I haven't had any luck finding a car cover for my 31 truck. I am looking for a cab cover that fits at least closely to the form of the AA cab. I would prefer a high quality breathable material like the evolution 4 etc. That is designed for outside winter storage.

Anyone know of any sources?

New 31 AA owner

Hello; New owner of a 31 hard top AA truck. This one has a restored manual crank dump body. I found it sleeping in a shipping container. It ha been sleeping for 10 years with an occasional outing around the block apparently . I was very lucky to find Neil W. during the process this weekend and he co...
