Re: intermediate shaft spring 1930-31 AA 131"
I found the Part Numbers for the Pointed Bolt is AA-4819 and the Thrust Spring that goes over the Bolt is AA-4822. I don't know where you can get them, Keep looking at Shows and Flea Markets, or E-bay if some one sells a AA Drive Shaft, but not the Bolt or Spring. (Contact the Seller, through E-bay)...

Re: Need Help with Brake question
The Part # for a Model A 1928-31, is A-2042 and Truck is AA-2042 Maybe someone can tell you if they are larger than the ones used on the 1/2 Ton or Car Brakes, I don't know, as I have yet to open up and rebuild the Brakes on my Truck. Smith & Jones has them listed, as NOS http://www.snjparts.com...

Re: What to do Next
So I changed the valves, and valve guides. Most of the valves showed oil getting past. I got it back together and motor feels much stronger. By Jazzjr Nov. 25th -- I would bet the Valve Guides are bad and Oil is going by them into the Cylinders. Every body thinks the Rings need to be changed, and d...

I believe that this is the Spring that you are looking for in the Photos. I don't have an extra one, or the Part Number for the Spring, but maybe some one does have a extra one by seeing the photo, and maybe they could help you out. Good Luck

Re: What to do Next
A better soaking Agent instead of MMO, would be a half and half mixture ATF and Acetone, to help free up Rings and Gunk. But before you assemble the engine, make sure you clean out all of the soaking mix possible, and put 2-3 Tablespoons of at least 30W oil around the Piston Tops, to get them proper...

Remove the Top of the Distributor Cap, rotate the engine with the crank or have some one help you bump the Starter, until the Rotor comes in line with the next pin in the Distributor Body. The Firing order is 1-2-4-3 then test each cylinder. It turns in a Counter Clock Wise Rotation. The Photo below...

Nice Looking Truck, they don't pop up every day in the Condition that yours is in. Take Neil's advice, don't let it get away for some of the fore mentioned Dollar amounts. Just a Wash job and a coating of Gibb's Oil will make it worth $2,000 more. Those that want it Cheap, fall into a category that ...
