Near as I remember it was much like the motorcycle rims where they gave a rim width for the tire you were going to use. Which makes these Firestones kinda unusual with the rim size to fit a AA wheel and the tread size more suited to a Model A vehicle. They fit the rim ok, but as you noted look kind...
