Re: Transmission sticking!(?)
Your profile does not have much information. However I have an extra 4 spd AA trans in the middle of UP michigan and you can have it for $50. I will only be there a short time in early October.

Heil hydraulic dump truck box, complete
I took this dump box & related parts off a 1931 AA that I parted out some years ago. I was going to use it, but plans have changed. I sold it to a guy about 2 years ago, but he decided he did not want to do the 4500 mile round trip to come & get it, so he asked me to resell it for him. The p...

Re: AA truck auction
Nice looking truck all right but seems to have the wrong lug nuts!
If i was planning on driving it home I would bring the right lug nuts along.

Re: Model A Swap Meet Chatsworth, CA
This is one of the best swap meets for old car parts in SoCal and it is only once a year, so don't miss out.
It is on Plummer St. just off DeSoto in Chatsworth. Gate opens at 6 am.
There will also be some cars for sale; not just Model A's.
Sorry, no beany babies or chinese made tools.

Re: Newbie: 1930 AA flatbed dualie
Is the running board a wood board? Seems like someone took the term "board" a bit too literally.
What about the other side? I'm sure someone in this forum could help you find original running boards.
Also, please put in your "profile" a clue as to your location.

Re: power house generator
No powerhouse generators after P2 had adjusting arms, and no long style generators had adjusting arms. If the side bracket for the adjusting arm is missing from your P2 you will have a hard time finding another one. If you do then you will need to find the arm and the special stud for the other end....

Re: power house generator
You guys need to read the "Model A Judging Standards & Restoration Guidelines". Then you would understand all the details on all the generators including the several different powerhouse generators. Only the very early powerhouse generators had a bracket to keep the belt tight, then He...

Re: power house generator
Powerhouse generators only have one bracket to mount to the engine. Sometimes they break off. Is that what you are looking for?
Also which of the several types of powerhouse generators do you have?

Re: Looking for info re 2 blade vs 4 blade fan performance
Another thing to consider is that until Feb or March 1929, Model A/AA's had a fan shroud. A fan shroud is very effective at improving the amount of air being pulled through the radiator. I would make sure to have a fan shroud on any A/AA built before April '29. BTW, Henry said a 2 blade fan was good...

Re: Model AA Ford Truck 1932 For Sale Flatbed
"The serial number (AA4807838) in the listing indicates an AA, which were built into 1932." True dat, but the number also means it was built in September 1931, which was a steel top cab late '31 month as shown. I would love to know if that AA had cast iron, not steel brake drums like the J...

Re: Making progress
"Looks like the same guy painted both of them. Sears must of had a sale on exterior latex back then." Looks more like they used leftover INTERIOR latex paint. When I was a teenager about a century ago I had a black tudor and I used interior latex to paint slogans on the car, such as "...
