1930 AA Tow truck for sale
I have a early 1930 AA tow truck, partially restored. Truck is apart. Cab, fenders, & splash aprons, done. Boom is a Weaver "Auto Crane". Many extra parts. Also have a doodle bug, cut down 1930 Fire engine (windshield delete cowl) which runs good and can be used as a parts car for the ...

Re: California registration rule
Although I do not live in CA currently, I will tell you about a trick I used in NJ. Get a small piece of brass, about 1 X 3 inches, and round off the corners. Using 1/4 inch letter/number punches, punch your engine number on the brass piece. Then pop rivet this item on the firewall. Paint it if you ...

Re: License plates
I just happen to be a plate dealer. The letter at the end usually is the weight class or use class. Not all states have this extra letter. Mass plates did not use this classification, however most midwest states did. Oklahoma used a small F in the middle of the plate numbers. For more information on...

I noticed that all of the repro brackets were the same length, however the original brackets were almost a half inch longer. Then I measured an extra cast iron bracket which was even ...

Re: Strange runningboard bracket measurement
I am quite aware that repro parts may not fit. That is not the problem here. As far as I know, there are no repro running boards with the 27 in bolt spacing. The question arises as what to do. Should I hope for decent correct running boards, or relocate the brackets. I am not sure of the exact year ...

Strange runningboard bracket measurement
Recently I purchased a "1929" AA which I was told was totally original. I have owned A's and AA's previously, so no problems restoring this one. One problem has come up. When I fitted new running boards, the brackets did not match up to the running board bolt holes. I measured the distance...
