Re: Help. I think I killed my starter. Engine won't crank

Can the engine be turned over by hand with the starter on the bench? If so then it is a starter issue. Will the starter run on the bench using jumper cables to power it? If so then starter is OK. Check for good grounding at all places starter mounts to engine. Take the starter switch off and try jum...

Re: How many classes of AA trucks

So? What were the Ford engineers thinking when they put wire wheels on the early 1 1/2 ton trucks?

Re: lifting cab off of frame

I have searched and may have missed it. But is there a step by step anywhere, here or someplace else, that shows how to lift the cab off of the frame to retrieve the id number? How high is needed to be able to view the number? This is for my 31. Thank you. On my '28 the number is just in front of t...

Re: Relocated fuel tank

I believe you quoted the wrong comment. The comment you quoted (which was mine) makes no mention of butchering or anything being irreversible. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk I stand corrected on the miss quote, but I do care what people think of me and my truck, that is the only reason I had ...

Re: Relocated fuel tank

Geez does a Model AA need that many wires? I think you should have done this truck a service and just bought a 70s model Ford instead. I think your discussion would probably be more welcomed on The H.A.M.B. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk List of what the wires are for?? Tac, Amp, temp. gage,,...

lesson learned

So , the other day while getting the old truck ready for an other season, I changed the oil, greased it all , and then remembered that I saw some ware that the cam lob should have a touch of petroleum jelly on it. To lazy to walk all the way over to another building, I substituted a touch of grease....

Re: Dismantling doors

I have been using an impact screwdriver - when you hit it with a hammer it causes the head to turn - theoretically. One problem is with the doors , they are relatively light so you cannot hit too hard. And on a few screws it has sheared the heads off. I have tried the heating and cooling , soaking ...
