the bushings i bought had to be drilled out in order for grease to get into the bushing. I'm wondering the size of the threads to cut into the brass cause the fittings go that deep. im thinking 3/8x28 but it seems like 1/8-27 pipe will work? is this threads to cut a pipe? anyone know what 1/8-27 me...

My advice is to take them apart and do as Stakebed said. May as well do it correctly now rather than latter..

BTW, you can re-arch them yourself..

I just walked out to the garage and measured mine. It is exactly 16" , floor to the bottom side..

I have seen a couple of "fixes" (1) Several top leaves are removed and a short block of white oak is used as a filler. (2) The ends of the top leaves are hacked off. This makes them filler only. Both of these ideas do not lower the rear of the truck. I like the first version best. If the top leaves...

WOW !! 3/4" out... Scrap pile.. You can ask a machine shop if they can straighten, But at what cost????? ---- find some different rims. Oh! Check the hub center, and the studs that mount the wheel. Just to be sure.. Good luck...

Have you checked "run out" with a dial indicator? First place to start, so you know just how out of round they are. Then to the machinist for input as to "if" they can do anything to help. If they are wire spoke wheels it may be very difficult to "bend" them into true round.. I have heard of actuall...

i know the thrust gets hit with oil because it leaks out off the cover. i will have to make a cork gasket. has anyone run the 600w oil from snyders in bronze gears with no problem. i am using lupriplate but think it might be overkill and 2x the money.
