Re: Extended Fuel Range - How do you overcome this?

You can use air pressure to 'push' the air from one container to the gas tank. If your going to a show you will want something that rolls up and can be hidden. I saw a pix that someone had a "stack" of lumber in the back that was hollow and held a big ol cooler. looked rustic and natural. Small air ...

Drive train vibration.

When coasting down hill with the clutch in and engine at idle, I get some vibration. I assume this is drive shaft and U-Joint vibration. Can? and how can I balance this? just the shaft? or the U-Joint also?

Re: Cooling system air flow

well thats were they were and have been installed for ages so go for it. Did you flush the block when you exchanged radiators? Oh, I did better than flush it. I put it in a yr. ago and flushed it then. I also just last week drained the antifreeze, and flushed it 5 times with water. I keep doing it ...

Cooling system air flow

I have been fighting a overheating issue in the past. Seem to have it solved after putting in a new Radiator. Now my question is,,,, Do I dare to mount a front license plate on the light bar, in front of the radiator? I see a lot of photos of this done, I'm gun shy. Your experiences, Ideas would be ...

Re: Worm gear temperature

Seems ok to me. Boiling is 212 Deg. Your not even close to that. 180 for a bearing is nothing. As far as engine temp. Seams all is working fine. Cooling system is doing its job. Drive on!!! :D

MPG and range.

Some one asked a while back what 'range' could be expected of an AA. Just for grins I gave it a try and my '28 with low speed worm rear end gets 10 MPG. So a range of 100 miles with the 10 gal. tank is to be expected.

Re: Rear fenders

Thanks Neil, thought that would be the case. Yes my cab and frame are 29 but rear end is 30/31 along with a mix of other parts parts. The bed will just be a platform type so I can probably adapt anything to fit. Sorry, I am probably offending all the purists out there! Jeff Do you even need / want ...

Generator out put voltage

My truck has a generator that probably came off of an old tractor. There is an adjustable brush, and I was wondering how to set the voltage. I know I can slide it toward a + or - to adjust, but how is the correct setting determined? Via output voltage and if so what is the correct voltage? Or should...
