Re: Is this cab really a 28?

The "AA truck, supplement to Restorers model A manual" from 1985, I read it on someones post so I ordered it. It's pretty good, tough to see some pics but worth getting. I should've ordered the original A manual too.

Re: Is this cab really a 28?

Ok, mine must be missing the tin over the wood. They are a neat cab and I like the Canadian connection, but I know my limitations. I've watched a woodworker restore an austin ambulance's wood structure and it is a skill I don't have! If there's anything you need Mark I can look for you, I suspect th...

Re: Is this cab really a 28?

Ah so it is a mutt, thanks guys. I will look for an 82-A closed cab, I found one that looks like mine but there's metal over the wood, I think it's older. (I'll add a pic)

I'm slow but I get there eventually!haha

Re: Is this cab really a 28?

The back window looked 30/31 to me but the pillars and cowl don't look right. My friend thought it was cobbled together!

Re: First AA, what did I buy?

There's a small stamped plaque nailed to the dash that says 1929 so I'd guess the body maker put that on. The motor number came out as 1928.

I got a lead on a hand crank tow rig another 30 AA with a steel cab for sale today, I can see where all my beer money's going to go this long winter! Haha

Thanks!

I can't seem to load anymore pics off my iphone cause they're too big, but the rear axle is not the scroll type and has 5 big lugs.

First AA, what did I buy?

Hello from northern BC, I bought my first AA off the classifieds last week and I love it! I've always wanted to build a 20's/30's wrecker so this will be my platform and I'll raid all the parts stashes I can find! This ol girl has had a working truck's life for sure, lots of rough repairs and a bent...
