1929 wire wheel hubcaps
I just listed nine wire wheel hubcaps on ePay. I lost my three AA fords in a fire, total loss, started by an idiot and a propane burner. Of course this low-life has nothing, no insurance. I rarely drove the trucks so had practically no insurance; so my loss. I put over 40 years in these trucks; 1930...

Re: worm drive drive shaft
You really don't need to replace the rear pin as long as the front pin is in place.

Red tubes
Just curious; when was the last red rubber inner tube? I wanted to know how old the Goodyear tube in my tire is.

Make sure you don't use a gear oil with EP additives, it will destroy you bronze gear in no time.

Re: What happens when a flat occurs
When the rim lip and ring are in good shape there is no reason to fear these rims. That being said, years ago I connected a snap on connector to a six-foot hose connected to my inflator; then you can stand behind or to the side when you inflate the tire.

Re: oil for worm drive rear end
I use 600 w steam oil. Whatever you do DO NOT USE any oil with ep additives, this will destroy your bronze worm gear.

Why not just replace the transmission (there are plenty of them out there)?

Re: POWER STEERING
Find a '73 Chevy power steering unit. These have a valve operated by the steering arm which activates the steering ram. You need to make a bracket for the pump and line it up with the water pump/fanbelt. You need to modify the linkage between the steering arm and the front spindle. Bolt the ram to t...

How much weight?
A few years ago I had a friend who used a '31 AA flatbed in his cement block plant. He would regularly load 15000 pounds and drive the blocks a few miles to delivery. The loaded bed sat squarely on the axles, the steering was a little squirrely and it took a couple blocks to start slowing down but t...

Re: Tires
High-pressure tires are compared to "low" pressure tires by doubling the last number and subtracting this from the first number; viz: 32x6 would be a six-inch would tire on a 20" RIM.

Re: Windows and window tint
I think the window tinting would look cool, along with dingle-balls hanging from the front window, lowered front end and a plastic Jesus staring out the front windshield.............
