warford install, shift tower hole

my 28 AA has a stock hole under the seat. i wonder if it was for the underdrive accessory. i am installing a warford and it seems that i am going to have to cut the sheet metal around the factory hole to allow the warford to be picked up to install. i hate to take the floor pan out. question, what w...

Re: WTB warford shift lever

no threads. just a sharp square about 1/2 inch square, must have been molded in a bakelite type of material. i could cut and thread and put on a knob. i was not sure how common these levers were.

WTB warford shift lever

looking for a 28 warford lever??? actually just need the ball on end but might be better to find a good condition lever versus trying to glue or epoxy a golf ball on the end. any offers.

Re: Truck progress photos

I'm surprised you didn't put the top over the bottom to shed water? was there a reason you did it this way?

Re: overheating

advance that timing, the easiest thing to try first in my opinion. my truck would boil in 10 minutes sitting at an idle in driveway. advanced or turned maybe 1/8 inch, actually just a few degrees and runs cool all summer. hope this works.

Re: overheating

i had a similar thing. the timing was retarded just a bit too much. i don't mean on the lever, adjust inside the distributor just the smallest bit with lever all the way up on column. hope i don't confuse you. hope it works. kevin
