Re: US Army truck
If the only proof you have is the tires, they were probably just used from a military vehicle as the size was close. If you look up a WWII GMC 1.5 ton truck (G506), it used 7.50 x 20 tires. The G506 was built on chassis with three wheelbases, 125 in (318 cm) extra short wheelbase (XSWB) used only on...

Re: US Army truck
Those tires look vaguely familiar. All military trucks had nomenclature plates, usually on the right side dash area. It usually listed the model, weights, transmission shift pattern, sometimes the oil weights for temperature etc. If the plates were brass and got robbed, there would be about 1/8"...

Re: Dodge PW/M37 wheels on AA, plan a
I measured the washers to keep the stack within .005". There is technology both ways on hub piloted vs stud piloted wheels. This is unregistered for around the farm, 1st gear only. Plan "b" was to just install the inner nuts, and cut a outer nut down (about 1/2 thickness) and install ...

Dodge PW/M37 wheels on AA, plan a
When I posted pics last time, my rear wheels were reversed and it was mentioned about causing possible problems with that offset. Here is some pics of my plan a to install the Dodge wheels (cause its all I have right now) on the rear. I put 3 flat washers as spacers, out to .45". Then used the ...

Re: wheel interchange from 28-29 to 30-31?
There are brass tag data plates for the body on the right side. It is made by Wood (something like Wood Hydraulics and Body Co.) It is a coal body and interesting has 2 tailgates. One gate goes on the tab ears 1/2 way in the body. I would think you delivered on load of coal then traveled to another ...

wheel interchange from 28-29 to 30-31?
Looking for options on my 31 AA dump (low budget farm truck). Will the 28-29 wheels (the ones with no offset, ie center of wheel is about the center of tire) fit on the later 31 axle? I am running Power Wagon wheels dish out now and found a doodlebug with the early wheels. I have been searching the ...

Re: where to get gaskets for a wood hydraulic hoist body pum
The pump looks the same, but mine is mounted lower, almost straight in line with the PTO. My cylinder is different, it fills through a hole (pipe thread) in the top side of the case, it mounts with pins. I will try to take some picts with my phone and post them if the weekend goes good.

Re: where to get gaskets for a wood hydraulic hoist body pum
I took it to Devine Hyd. in Montville They always have been knowledgeable about odd stuff, but just came home with a roll of gasket paper. Started to strip it down, heck of a time getting the woodruff key out of the shaft. The part that didn't get buggered up looked like it was machined. Better qual...

Re: where to get gaskets for a wood hydraulic hoist body pum
South east, by casinos. I will try a hyd shop in Montivlle. I was thinking, with the computer age strongly entrenched, a business would computerize the gasket records and then just cut to order. But maybe to hopeful. If I end up buying the gaskets, I will post where.
Thanks

where to get gaskets for a wood hydraulic hoist body pump?
I have a coal body on a 31 AA and the hyd hoist pump was leaking at the case seem. I removed it and split the pump. It's in good shape, but the gaskets look like a pain to make. Anyone have luck getting parts for wood hydraulic hoist body company items?
I think they changed into Garwood Ind.
