Re: The Right Frame for a Mail Truck

I think you would be money ahead to take Bud up on his truck. I think you would have a hard time finding a right well fender, the left side tire carriers show up sometimes and I assume it could be made to work on the right side. Re: First AA

The bracket is probably for a fire extinguisher. I got a bumper bar for $10 at a swap meet and a bumper and brackets
from a guy for $25.

I would take them to a machine shop and have them done on a Sunnen Hone.

Re: AA mail truck or other closed wood bodies

I met a guy at the Hershey 2018 meet that said he has copies of the blueprints for Model A Ford mail truck bodies, based upon the car chassis. I am trying to connect with him to obtain those as I believe the front 2/3rds would be exactly the same for the AA chassis . The straight part must just be ...

I measured mine and the thread is 1/2"-13. You can get the balls from Graingers or McMaster-Carr https://www.mcmaster.com/threaded-knobs

Re: Maple floorboards

There are cab maple floor boards on Ebay but they don't look very good, no dovetail and the boards only look about two or three inches wide. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Model-A-Front-SOLID-WOOD-Floor-Boards-A2829-FB-1928-29-MADE-IN-USA/253063086691?hash=item3aebbc4263:g:Yr0AAOSwb4VbpRBO&vxp=mtr Bob

Re: PTO shims and shaft speed

Looks like it may depend on the manufacture of the PTO. St.Paul PTO shows 1062RPM per 1000RPM of engine
and Muncie PTO shows 59 percent of engine speed.

Five handholes is 1930-31, are you sure you don't have an early 1930?
Post some pictures of your truck.

According to Snyder's catalog the only thing those springs will fit is 1928-29 Coupe and Cabriolet.

Shouldn't roadster doors fit, they reproduce them. Bratton's shows the same skin for roadster and OC pickup.

Re: Wheel stud and wheel nut

The ones they show in the parts book for the rear 1928-29 don't use nuts on the back of the stud. AA-1118-AR R.H.
and AA-1119-AR L.H.
