Looks like a Widow Maker, no tire shop will work on them.

Re: 1931 Model AA Passenger Bus MAFFI Project

You guys are making great progress, looks great. I don't know if it will cause problems but the coupling shaft
housing rear support, AA-4808, should be on the back side of the cross member.

Re: Drag Link Spring & Front Brake Rod

I think the front brake rods are the same as Model A's 50 1/2".

I was wrong. According to the parts book the front rod is AA-2501-A 61 5/8"

Man you have made a lot of progress. Is there a thread with pictures of the build?

Re: 1931 AA Rear Leaf Spring Orientation

If you have the longer spring shackles then the longer end of the spring goes to the front.

Re: POWER STEERING

The Restorer had an article on power steering. "Power steering for Model A," photo, Jan-Feb 1963 (7-5) p 3
Ford had a system similar to what 1wonton described in the 50's and 60's.

Re: Fluid capacities?

I don't think Ford knew what the capacities were. Mar, Apr, May 1933 shows rear axle 7pts and trans 6pts. Nov 1936 rear axle 9pts, trans 2.5pts.
Dec 1937 rear axle 7pts and trans 5pts. This was from the 1932-37 Service Bulletins.

Neil, you forgot AA-17287 Washer (speedometer driving gear thrust). It goes between AA-17285 and AA-4645.

Check out the Youtube video, I think there are seven short videos on the repair you need.
