Re: Door hinge removal

yup remove screws and should slide out - over the years the metal around the screws can dig into the hinge itself and cause it to hang up. might try tapping the hinge out with a block a wood and soak the area in some kinda rust penatrent.

Re: Wanted 14" brake shoes

I will see what a got when i can and get some measurements and pics - i know i have an odd number of shoes as one i had was severely rusted/worn out so it was into the scrap pile. All of mine are late 28-29 worm drive shoes with emergency brakes but like mentioned above the shoes should be the same.

Re: railway express truck

i get that but it seems like it would be a massive pain, time, cost to do that. Is that link with pics exactly what they did? Or someone got a link to a correctly painted one?

Re: Front radius rods question

yes 28/29 AA is same axle and wishbone as A. Perches are different only in the shock ball height so you can use new made ones or car ones if you dont plan to ever run shocks...

yes that axle got smacked hard to bend the wishbone like that. Id look for another A or AA complete axle.

157" wheelbase in PA

https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=235105

Looks like it has the sought after front bumper, some usable rims, sidemount spare bracket, overload springs, and bed U bolts. Rest is pretty questionable unfortunately so not sure if $900 is worth it. Im just the messenger...

Re: Emergency Brake pad

I might lemme look...are there any semi truck shops near you? They still use riveted shoes on modern semi's and my local place can get any lining. It might be universal sizes but what they do is get it just wide enough to cover the shoe and get the proper thickness, rivet it on, then take a bandsaw ...

Re: 28/29 torque Tube installation

i also used mine as a ram rod to tap out the axle seals from the wheel side of the housings. - tool has many uses! Now tag it as what its used for and put it in a drawer of special made tools for the future.
