Re: Truck progress photos
That’s looking beautiful! I was gonna go that way with mine! ( natural patina), but then I didn’t have the heart to do it after replacing/repairing the body. Can’t wait to see it finished!

Re: REAR VIEW MIRRORS
Hello! Since the bracket arm will be 10+ inches, I'm afraid the hinge mount version will be too weak and flexy, so I think it will be better to install the bracket on the hinge pillar instead and have a sturdy tapping block inside the pillar All you need are 5/16” threaded nutserts, they work great

Re: FAQ for AA dummies?
I guess when the old timers said” if it ain’t leaking, it must be empty”, they kind of said it all. I did discover that it I use Teflon tape on the transmission drain and fill plugs, at least they don’t drip!

Check out JimCartertruckparts.com, they have 5 1/2”x 7 1/2” mirror heads that may bolt up to the original AA mirror arms

Re: REAR VIEW MIRRORS
I'm trying to find some time typical outside rear view mirrors for my 1930 AA Truck. I want them large enough so I can focus on surrounding traffic and when reversing. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I have the same problem with my dump truck, the tiny original style mirror just doesn’t cut it...

Re: Bang for the buck, performance.
Hypothetical question as I am nowhere near driving my project yet; I thought this might be a good discussion. Say I wanted to improve performance of my AA. What are some experienced opinions from AA and A drivers of what would be the most effective way to boost performance/power, and or top speed o...

Re: Timing gear shreaded
Spoke to my engine builder, he thinks it was just a bad gear, sending me a new one and all the gaskets. I hope this is the case, guess we’re gonna find out! But at least he’s standing behind his work!

Re: Timing gear shreaded
I'm going to start something here, but that may be a good thing... Fiber timing gears have been used for many many years without the 'shredding' issue.
