Re: Extended Fuel Range - How do you overcome this?

Putting a gas tank in a non ventilated trunk is a bad idea. Also bare in mind that any mounting straps must be insulated. No metal contact with the tank.

Re: First AA

Some stake bed models had long running boards and rear fenders. I would start a hunt tracking back owners and see what you find. There may be an Express bed laying by a barn.

Re: Express bed boards

If someone with the knowledge and equipment could make the wood pieces I am sure some of us would be buyers.

Re: what can be done about rod knock

The knock is a warning that something is about to leave its normal place and go elsewhere. This is always disastrous. Fix it.

FYI - RGJS considers "Early" as January through April.
Neil,
My other Early '30 AA Project's frame number is from May 1930. Perhaps this is another instance of the RGJS being incorrect?

Yes, what serial numbers?
Number range would be somewhere between 2742696 and 3700257

Are you looking for a particular serial number range or what??
From what Neil has posted it looks like the frames were the same
from January 1930 through March 1931.
