'30 and '31 are different. What year do you want? I have them but shipping will kill you.

Re: Worm drive tag

The '30/'31 High Speed units had a brass tag. Some with a number and others without.

Re: Worm drive tag

It may be to show the gear ratio has been changed from what is stamped on the housing.. So you will have to check the ratio. Can do via counting drive shaft rotations to wheel rotation. Be sure to keep the tag!!! Or, if the speedometer is accurate, look at the ratio stamped on the speedo drive gear.

If the gears are that rusty the bearing probably aren't much better. I would pull the
trans and disassemble it. You might get more response if you put this in the discussion forum.

Re: Draining Coolant

What do you mean not sealed? Here is an article about Evans being used in a 1930 Model A cross country record-breaking drive, NY to California (50 hours). https://secure.performanceracing.com/news/ocean-ocean-world-record-set I read the article. No where does it say if it was a sealed or open syste...

Evans doesn't recommend using their coolant on systems that are not sealed.

Front mounted toolbox

A few years ago I bought a frame mounted toolbox for my A. Today I decided to install it. Now I find out that it is for a 1928/'29 and won't fit my '30. I am hoping someone will have one that will fit my 1930. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/pp209/hd36knuck/toolbox.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&...

I hauled 3 tons of crap to the landfill on my Early '30. It did have overload springs in the rear.
