I would almost guarantee that custom gears would cost more than a Mitchell. Why re-invent the wheel. Since I put a Mitchell on my truck with high speed rear, I can easily do 45 to 50 on the highway. No factory hole under the seat. At least not on mine. It will take two holes for the Warford. One under the seat and another in the seat riser.

I notice in the illistration that the lever has a threaded on ball. Perhaps you could cut a bit off and drill and tap for a stud to go in. Then you have something to screw the ball to.

No I was mistaken on memory. I drive truck and only home weekly. Just looked at it this weekend and it is 6 hand holes. Everything else matches to a 1929. 3speed w/2 speed rearend.
Its not a 2 speed rear end. It is a Direct/Underdrive behind the transmission.
