Re: What happens when a flat occurs

Good deal. Thanks guys. Eases my mind some with young kids around. There is a truck shop 10 miles away with a cage so if I ever need to inflate a tire I'll take it there.

What happens when a flat occurs

Being still new to the split rim/ring design, what happens when a flat occurs with a model AA? Loud explosion? Damage to the truck? Nothing? The wheels are the things that make me take pause with the truck.

Cotter pins

I was wondering if there is a chart of the correct size cotter pins and locations for the AA? Brattons has a list available for the regular A. I am putting in an order to McMaster car this week and I would like to get a supply of cotter pins. Is there at least a list of the sizes needed at all?

Turn signal ideas

I am wanting to install turn signals on my '31 stake bed. For the people who have installed front and rear turn signals did you go with a kit? Piece it together yourself? Combo of both? I would love to see pics of them lights installed.

Thanks.

I was planning on attending but I see now that it is going to be a virtual show, I went to the convention in South Bend IN in 2011, here are some photos that show.
Thanks for the pics! Nice to see that it wasnt all big trucks. Its a shame it got cancelled this year.

Grinding going into 4th gear

Hi, I have not been able to drive the AA a ton since I got it due to different reasons but something I have noticed is that 9/10 times I grind 4th gear. I double clutch and try to adjust for speed like the other gears and have no issues. 4th gear though will grind. I have replaced the transmission o...

Kingpin set

I am looking at getting a "new" set of kingpins. For the '31 AA will a new old stock of BB-3111 kingpin set work? Also since the kingpins are larger than regular A's what does everyone use to ream the bushings to match the kingpin?

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning

Took a couple of hours today but everything is back together. I also installed a good prop and holy cow that is amazing. Being able to keep both sides of the hood open is a game changer [emoji1]. Happy to report the engine ran for a good 20 minutes or so and then water pump didn't leak. I did forget...

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning

Looks good. I would not have thought of the epoxy repair. I would have likely tried brazing it. My bell housing has an ear broken I’ll have to address when the engine goes back. Mine had a stamped steel 4 blade fan. Wondering if those were ever stock on AA? The corner is such a small spot and didn'...

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning

Got the water pump rebuilt today. Had to get a new fan due to me breaking the aluminum one that was on there. Bought a leak less kit from brattons and got it together. Fan went on nicely with no issue. Brought it home and there was no impeller problem either. It looked like the head already had been...
