Re: AA Transmision

If I understand everyone, the truck had bigger parts but I can use the standard Model A size parts if I am not hauling any loads. Truth is I do haul fire wood with this truck. We use it in the woods. Never sees the highway though and never goes over 30 MPH. So with that said do you recommend the lar...

AA Transmision

I am a beginer here and need to know about the AA transmision. Specifically the pressure plate, clutch disk, and throwout bearing. I have a 1930 Gravity load dump truck. 4 speed tranny. Are these parts the same as the model a? I only see the one pressure plate and clutch disk for a model a in Mac's ...

Re: 1930 Floor Boards

Thanks Neil,
You have been a great help. Truck will soon start looking like a truck again, instead of a pile of parts.

Re: 1930 Floor Boards

Thanks Neil, Is there a print anywhere for the #1 board like I got for the #2 board from you awhile back? Or at least the dimensions of the grove and cutouts as it relates to the #1 board. I can make these floor boards myself doo to there non availability but have no pattern or drawing to go by for ...

1930 Floor Boards

Does anyone have a print of board one for my 30 dump truck? I have a drawing of board two but I understand board one is also different then the model A boards. Is there a source to buy both one and two AA boards? I can not find them and am assuming I have to make them.
Thanks in advance

1930 AA Fire Wall

Starting to work on my 30 AA gravity Dump Cab. When I disassembled the truck I did not mark the holes on the fire wall that are required. Over time other holes had been made. I.E. previous owner had mounted a make shift battery shelf to the fire wall among other penetrations through the fire wall fo...

Re: Need help to ID splash Shields

Thanks Neil. The old runnings boards are in bad shape but I think restorable. Couple of bullet holes which are minor and could be welded shut. Edges deteriorated but new medal could be welded on and made to look good. Kind of worn thin in a few spots on the diamond deck but could be covered with run...

Re: Need help to ID splash Shields

Thanks Neil Based on what you are saying I have a 30 like the serial #says. Not sure what it used to be though before it became a dump truck with long running boards. If I go with the short style for the AA then do I take off the extra running board brackets? Also I assume the new splash shield will...

Need help to ID splash Shields

Greetings all. I have a 1930 gravity dump that seems to have been a truck with a previous life. I am at the point of buying new splash shields and need help to replace what I have. I am guessing it was a panel delivery based on advice I previously recieved but am not sure. Here is my question. Splas...

Floor Board

Do the floor boards sold by MAC's fit a 1930 AA? I remember reading somewhere the AA boards are different. What exactly do I need to do to the boards from Mac's to make it fit my truck? I should note my truck started out as a 30 panel delivery and someone back then modified it into a gravity dump. T...

Re: Tranny gear shift rod

What would be the purpose of adding two inches to the seat springs? Just curiosity on my part. Seems like it would put your head to close to the trucks roof. Does anyone have any experience using these higher seats?

Re: Model AA Frame

Frame is not rolling. Has brake drums but no rims or tires. Fire wall and gas tank are there. Front and rear suspension and springs. Transmissionis there but feels stuck. I assume brake parts are there because drums are on and never been removed by us. I can send pictures if you would like. Located ...

Model AA Frame

I have this Frame, Tranny, Rear end, and other various parts that was left to me by my late Uncle. Can anyone give me an idea of its value. I would like to sell it to someone that can put it to good use rather then leave it sit in the woods like it is now. The serial number on the frame is no longer...

AA Title

Can anyone give me some advice or help as how to get a title for my aa Dump Truck. I live in WI and the application is very confusing. Seems I should have got the title before I started any work on the truck. So as to show a low value on the vehicle. So they say. Also says the police have to verify ...
