Re: Motor Mount Spacer
What I have found on all chassis parts that relate to the car is that the bolt and or rivet kits sold for the cars are always too short because the truck frame is thicker gauge metal. Not exactly what you were asking but relates.

Re: head
I put 6:1 Snyder's head and touring grind cam in my rebuild, bored .080 over. Haven't built body yet and have only driven chassis sitting on milk crate, but seems pretty peppy. I have all the parts ready to rebuild a Warford overdrive but haven't put it together yet. I'm optimistic.

Re: wheel base
The only difference was frame length and the coupling shaft was longer on 157”. I think front spring may have been heavier on 157” too if I remember correctly, and sometime later In production they went back to rigid front motor mount I believe.

Re: AA KINGPIN GREASE
Any good chassis grease is fine. It’s like when I asked engine rebuilder what kind of oil to use. He said clean and plenty.

Re: Kingpin bearing
I have shims on top of axle, not sure if that’s correct or not but seems to work well.

Here is a photo of original bearing. It is marked top. Hope that helps. Yes bearing is under axle on truck.

Re: Kingpin bearing
6913F95F-68D5-4719-8CB7-FCC9D87246F2.jpeg Yes the truck is different. Thrust bearing goes under axle knuckle. It needs to get grease from the bottom fitting on spindle. I found a NOS set when I did mine but after a long soak and repeated washings my old bearings were smoother than the new ones. Too...

Re: GREAT SOURCE FOR VINTAGE BEARINGS
I used them after hearing of them on this site. They knew exactly what bearings I needed for the Warford and were great to do business with.

Re: Warford Install help
Thanks Neil. Exactly what I needed. Looks like I would need the dog leg lever for the one side if I did the bend like top shaft. I was thinking about making the offset with flat bar and building it like a crankshaft throw, but wouldn’t look original.

Warford Install help
OK, I think I will go ahead with Warford install in my AA project. I believe it’s a 28-29 style but I think I have the correct u-joints to make it work along with the splined rear bracket for cross member. I have all new bearings but will need to have a new counter shaft made. My next hurdle will be...

Re: Floor board
I used the drawings from my AAer magazine and made mine for my 30 AA. I used 3/4” BCX from box store. I gave it a coat of turpentine and boiled linseed oil last night. Now for a couple coats of black paint. Should last a while.

Re: Clutch
Actually no. The car clutch will work in the truck, but originally the truck had a larger diameter disc and stronger springs in the pressure plate. I opted to have my original disc and pressure plate restored to factory specifications so I would again have the heavier duty clutch as Henry designed. ...

Where are you located. I have some 6.50-20 that have no miles but age cracked. I would let them go cheap but shipping would be costly.
