Re: Which hollow punch set?

I have a hammer set too. I used some that my grandfather had but it was incomplete and well worn. I purchased a nice set on Amazon. I have used it several times during my restoration. https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Hollow-Leath ... RG9K&psc=1

You might try calling Snyder’s. They offer replacement splash aprons but shows they are out of stock. Here’s the link.. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/prod ... 6739&cat=0

Re: 28 hand wiper blade

I had restored a 1927 TT closed cab and found that the 1928 AA closed cab used the same blade. I bought mine from Lang’s

WTB-1928 AA valve stems

I’m in search of five (or whatever you might have) Schrader 1822 valve stems, 725 nut, and bridge washers to finish my 1928 AA restoration. Please let me know if you have any or part that you would be willing to sell. Thanks for your interest.

Re: Congratulations to the AA trucks judged at Morgantown!

I had a great time with all the AA owners at the Morgantown meet this year! Several of us got to see Kieth Ernst’s AA’s and other trucks that he has collected! Keith and Bob Martino had vehicles on display, as well! Enjoyed the seminars and hats off to everyone involved to make this years meet a rea...

Re: Front license plate clamp orientation

Sounds good...thanks for your perspective. The oe clamp would probably have interference if mounted in the upward position! I’m still on a search for the 1”x1/4-20 bolt with 3/8 head. I have the correct nut.

Re: Front license plate clamp orientation

Thank you for the information! I’ll have to take a look at the suggested articles and see what direction their discussions take. Since the owner was responsible for installing the license plates, I would assume either position for the front plate would be acceptable for the purpose of fine point jud...

Front license plate clamp orientation

I hope this is not going to sound anal, but for the purpose of judging I want to make sure that the front license plate clamps are oriented correctly and in the correct location. My 1928 AA will have the clamps with the ridge stamped in to the body of the clamp. I’ve seen pictures of the clamps moun...

Re: tire pressure

Here’s a link that describes mounting and tire pressure. It recommends 50psi but I run about 45psi in my AA tires, as I don’t plan on loading the truck. https://aafordscom.ipage.com/aafords-pd ... lation.pdf
Hope this helps!

Re: 88-A Platform Bed Wood

In an answer to the additive, I am restoring my late 1928 AA and had my paint store mix up a satin finish Imron 3.5 Satin Plus paint color to imitate the non-buffed lacquer paint. My paint supplier is National Coatings & Supply. They were able to come up with a formula that looks like gunmetal b...

Re: WTB: Skid Strips for 88-A Platform Bed

I had Bruce Horkey do the wood and metal skid strips for my TT. He is in the process of acquiring new wood for my AA 88a platform. He’s always busy but I highly recommend him!
