So far I have had the frame, dual high, front and rear springs, and various of other small chassis parts restored. The rest is not. To go with the rest, have a ver...

I started collecting AA parts back in 1995 and was really wanting to restore a AA Truck. I joined the Ford Model AA Truck Club which was a great idea at the time. Neil Wilson, head of the ...

Re: 28/29 cab versus 30/31 cab

Your early '30 truck would have used the boxy '28-'29 style cab. They used these cabs on the new '30 chassis with the Budd wheels until around June of '30 when the new rounder style cabs were introduced. The cab you found should be the correct cab style. Some changes were made in '28-'29 with the p...

Thanks Farrell,

It should be an interesting job.

I have one other cab to serve as a "template" in order to assemble the one from parts.

Re: 28-mid 30 CCPU body restoration...

Pluck, A '28-mid '30 CCPU stands for two bodies (a cab and a pickup). So, which are you talking about? I have taken some of an 82-A cab apart. But, never completely. My take is that if the cab is so bad that everything need taken apart, then I would not want to use it (way to much work). But, I liv...

CCPU outside mirror position...

At what point did the outside mirror go from between the upper and middle door hinge to above the upper door hinge?

My October 1929 cab has the position between the upper and middle door hinge.

Thanks.

28-mid 30 CCPU body restoration...

Has anyone completely taken apart a 28-mid 30 CCPU body for restoration? I mean every part that is riveted to the body and brought it back? I have a complete body which I am not going to disassemble which I will use as an example (which also needs a good restoration) but also have a ton of CCPU body...
