This just goes to show you that this forum is effective for AA truck issues, whether your buying, selling or looking for advice. I do still have the Weaver Winch however...in case anyone's i...

Thanks, Neil...
I purchased the new front leaf spring from Mac's.
It has 10 leaves and is 1-3/4" in width.
After reading your reply, I figure I am going to have to buy a different spring. I now have a brand new 10 leaf spring if anyone is interested!

Wheels

Thanks for the information.
I wonder how difficult it is to find any of these wheels, or if it would be worth my time. If the center hole is larger thant the Ford wheel's center hole, would the Dodge wheel hold the Ford hubcap??
Thanks, RJ

Front Leaf Spring

OK, here I am again asking for help and information. I installed a new front leaf spring on my '29 AA. The square head of the center bolt comes up through the square hole of the frame, like it should, the bottom plate tightens against the bottom of the crossmemeber, again, as it should. My question ...

Does anyone know what other wheels will fit an AA lug pattern??? I plan to lower the overall height of my AA when it is complete and I figure the easiest way is to use smaller wheels and tires. Surely there are some modern wheels that have the right bolt pattern??? Maybe someone can tell me of a web...

Thanks for your response, Neil. The main gear is smoothly worn and the top edges of the gear are somewhat concaved evenly across the tops of the teeth. Since it sounds like I need to replace it, any ideas of where a new gear can be obtained?? Also, I have not taken the gear completely apart yet, The...

dual high removal

Thanks Neil
I will look at what you suggest. The motor and transmission is already out of the truck. I have unbolted the rear end from the frame and have removed the two mounting bolts you mentioned. I'll see what happens

Thanks again,
