Re: Express Owners

I know this information is probably in the AA Newsletter and or member information, but I wanted to see who on this forum actually has one, what stage of restoration or condition, level of completeness(you have all the parts). I don't have a 30 but I have tried to post pictures of a 29. It's pretty...

Re: 1928 AA parts for sale or trade

In a recent ad: A HOT RODDER CALLED ME LOOKING TO SEE IF SOMEONE WANTS 2 AA CHASSIS. BOTH ARE 30/31'S. COMPLETE ONE THE ENGINES TURN. I CAN GET A PRICE IF SOMEONE'S INTERESTED. No Remarks! Just how much when and where. Trucknut offered his parts directly and he is rat rodder. if he is; so what and m...

Re: 1928 AA parts for sale or trade

Rollingsculpture, while the term rat rod is rude and hurtfull to someone working to build a vehicle of THEIR dreams, you found a way to use the word again. What gives us the right to be hurtfull and insult everyone that attempts to offer the remaining parts to us? Are you guys going to convert every...

Re: '29 AA Express - Auction 1/21/10 in Florida

Well I'm not sure! I saw this truck and it looks exactly like mine. The spare tire carrier on my truck is under the rear part of the bed and attaching to the non stock back bumper. Some day I would like to be original and threw the question out but obviously didn't do my research. I have not removed...

Re: New guy needs a GOOD AA truck book

Here's a few books I've found. Model A/AA Truck Owner by A.G.McMillan. Good pictures of body types and accesories. Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook by Les Andrews. Good technical manual for the engine and other common areas of the A family. Ford Trucks since 1905 by James K. Wagner. Not just AA but a...

Re: Universal Transmisson Co

I'm a rookie and have not yet driven my TT and barly driven my AA but will add 2 cents on the recent postings and for discussion. The Ruckstell gave you a low and direct ratio's from the rear end. The TT has a low and high at it's transmission. On hills with the transmission in high and ruckstell lo...

I just found your picture on page 2. I see yours like mine was made in Washington. They were also made in Oakland California but I haven't had much luck getting information. Is your housing aluminum?

Re: AA Dump pics

Hardhatz, good to hear the jewel will be reborn before it melts back into the earth. I thought the reason we went through the work and expense was for our enjoyment. if the truck belongs to you, do what you want with it. when your finished and begin to enjoy your truck, drive it like you want. it's ...

Re: 5.17:1 Worm Gears - who wants them?

Hey Neil, I missed your post here. I would like to order at least one set. Are the sets being produced now correct for the TT but will work in the AA? I'm holding the high speed gears I found for my AA and waiting to find the spedometer gears before installing. i"m presently rebuilding a 1924 e...
