Finally got it . new dist. body needed contact filing to 30 on all. 1 and 2 were touching. bushings in dist, shaft needed replace, carb had one wrong long needle and one broke nearly off at base, someone had converted to 12 volt and the extra condenser and ballast resister were a problem, replaced 2...

easiest way for me is to short out the plugs with a screw driver and see which one isn't making a difference. 4 and 3 nearly kill the engine , 2 makes considerable difference and 1 just arcs on the cyl. head . last weekend, chasing down a 32 BB I saw in the field a ' 31- 157 wheelbase with a honeycomb radiator with the right( Ford inscription) shell. Didn't know Ford had that. Did have a 32 plymouth that had honeycomb. Genuine or after market ?????
