AAC Hub Caps
Hi All. I am looking at producing replica Hub Caps to suit AAC Disc and Wooden wheel trucks. Looking to produce them out of 6061Aluminium CNC machined and then polished. I have had them priced and they would be $AUD1000 for a set of 4. Be aware that the cap for a wooden wheel is different to a disk ...

Re: Newbie AA
AAC trucks are not that difficult to put back together if you find the time. Timken diffs were manufactured by Timken Bearings. the Australian and Canadian service bulletins do have some information on the differentials. it is not correct that all timken diffs were open tail shafts. the differential...

I have this casting that was produced many years ago in Australia.

Drew - All the Australian Truck use a Timken Diff as Bob showed. there are 2 different versions of the housings in Australia. the first is a open tail shaft and the diff has a talk arm running down the side and attached to the chassis. the second is an enclosed shaft with radius rods. my truck is th...

Re: AA truck coupling shaft help pls
Australian trucks bolted to the front engine mount in all years unless this has been removed.
in the Australian factory they welded this mount back in.
I'm thinking the stock model a rear mounts have been used and not the AA ones which lift the motor up to a higher position in the Chassis.

Re: Universal Transmisson Co
having driven a couple of Model T's with over drives going into over drive is just a matter of rev's and sliping it straight in. Going back to direct was slip it out push the gear pedal half way in to find neutral give it some revs and slip the gear in and release the pedal. T models do have a clutc...

as far as i know after working on Australian TT's the AA wooden wheels are not interchangable.
wooden wheels were avaliable till the end of production, wire wheels were rare in Australia, we also had steel spiders for duel wheels and solid discs on early trucks.
i will try to find some pics.

*CA is the canadian prefix.
*CAA is for Canadian trucks
mine is a *CAAQ manufactured later 29 and probably installed atleast 3months later.

Re: asymmetrical brake rod levers and rockers
Neil i agree with you. we are always learning. Alot of the parts that people show on this web site were not avaliable in Australia, so it is interesting for myself to look and see differences between US and Canadian units. i guess it is the same for people looking at Canadian AAC's. the brake arm on...
