Re: 29 AA flat bed wood
Nick, I'm basically secondly everything Neil said in his post although I measured my bed boards and thought they were 7 1/2" wide measuring the underside. I may be wrong about that so I will double check tomorrow. My truck is a 31 157 WB. The slots Neil referred to are on both sides of the boar...

Re: shipping and hood advice?
I think you could separate the hood half's and lay them together. they wouldn't weigh over 35 lbs I would think. As far as repair them, welding up the cracks and rounding up the hinge areas, you should be able to fix them fairly easy. I will have to look at mine, I hope I haven't spoken too soon on ...

Re: MARVEL CARBURETOR ON MODEL As
The wire works good. I at one time had the truck in my shop and had to crank it every morning to move it out of the way so the wire got a lot of use, like Chris Haynes suggested, a loop works good and does not let it slide back through the radiator. Mine is stuck right through the core, Also I attac...

Re: Rear axle speed
Over 40 mph in a AA is not cruising, it's abusing! If one want's to see all the hard work you put into getting that baby back together sitting on the side of the road, keep looking for speed.

Do those prices look reasonable or do I not see a bargain when I'm looking at it. I guess there is always somebody looking for a particular part.

Re: Paint??
Thanks for the input. Yesterday was a nice day and since I have already purchased the POR I'm stuck (I guess) using it. Anyhow I'm in the process and am going to double coat it as per instructions (looking good so far, not nearly finished!) and then put a top coat over it. I had planned to use their...

Paint??
I have my frame ready to paint (POR15) I've finished all the pre-paint prep and my question is it looks like a chance of rain and 60 degrees today.
I'm indoors and using a brush with (proper ventilation) I hope!----Should I wait until tomorrow, it's supposed to warm up.

Re: Rear Axle (Worm) Issues
I'm going along with Tired TR on the gasket or flatness of the cap, bearing placed in backward if possible. That shoulder holds the outer race from moving, but the cap may be loading up pressure on the inner race and when the lash in the bevel gear is taken up in reverse it applies side load the bea...
