just to let you know
I have put my aa project on ebay. There is less then two days left to auction. Just thought you might want to watch the bidding. I hate to get rid of it, but it just won't fit the plans I had for it. It was good to know you guys. Thanks for all your help in getting me as far as I got on it. Through ...

Re: I want to spin my engine over with the Starter
I may not fully understand what your saying but if you are trying to turn the engine using the starter No you cant just manaully turn the starter bendix shaft. The bendix is what makes contact with the flywheel ring gear in oder for the starters labor to trun the engine. The bendix works on centrifi...

Re: Chris Haynes, who's local?
See Russ, what did I tell ya. "Grapes of Wrath". Great movie by the way. After pulling a cloth through the bushing, blowing it with air and then running a greased rag though I figure what grit in there I'll never get out. That keeps me from worrying about the grit that is blowing ar...

Re: Chris Haynes, who's local?
I hate to say because I will be laughed off the planet. But since you asked. Because the amount of bushing I had to remove for a "break-in fit" was minute, maybe a couple thousandths +/-, I took a wood dowl rod, slit one end using a hack saw enough to slip a strip of emery cloth (sand Pape...

Re: Non AA, Pie's? Sure we have pie's.
thanks rolling but I was dissapointed with the bids. It ended at $7,333.00. Funny thing was, the same people doing the bidding was sending me emails during the last hours of the bidding asking if a certain dollar amount would buy it rather then wait on the ending of the bidding. It is still sitting ...

I have been away. I'm sure I was not misses. Smile who? The AA project has been moved over to the corner and drawing dust. Mama had to have her annual garage sell, the heat here is to much to work in, building a door to my shop to keep the cat out. She goes in there to sleep and just gets fur everyw...
