Re: Interior Uphostery Pictures?

I've already got your site bookmarked and I'm heading to the barn right now. Many thanks!! I couldn't find the site for the 82a cab right away but I'll keep trying and post it as soon as I can. I just found the site. http://www.abarnyard.com/temp/82-a Thanks, nreed. I have reviewed all of Marco's p...

Re: Interior Uphostery Pictures?

If you go to my site at the following link I have posted some pictures. These are not to be assumed that they are correct to judging standards. The interior is of a kit obtained from LeBaron Bonney that is said to be appropriate for a '30-'31 AA with an 82B cab. They were installed to the best of m...

Re: Interior Uphostery Pictures?

I'll second the motion. Just started putting my kit together and sure could use the pictures also. There was no interior left in my truck when we got it home and it seems like I'm guessing on every move I make. There are pictures for the 28-29 trucks but I can't find any for the 82b cab. Thanks to ...

Interior Uphostery Pictures?

Does anyone have some good close-up interior shots of installed uphostery?
We are ready to install the L/B kit, and there isn't much in the instructions.

Interior upholstery for the 29 PU/Truck cab

Does anyone know of a site that gives a lot of detail on the interior uphostery? I have some of the hardboard pieces that came out of our cab, but I don't know if they were original Ford or something that was put in during the 40s-50s. My truck was not used after about 55, so it is likely they were ...

Re: Welt for bottom edge of roof

Hello Barney, It looks like Marco has the welt going around the entire perimeter of the roof, including the front, in this picture: http://abarnyard.com/temp/82-a/82a-30.jpg Boomer, You're right. It looks that way. I haven't researched how the visor fits on. That's something I'm going to have to do...

Re: Welt for bottom edge of roof

I can't find the size of the bead on the Vinal Windlace in the catalog or in there on line catalog. I think the wind lace has about a 1/2" foam rubber core :?: The price of the A9000 cowl welt is much cheaper. I'll take a picture of mine and post it tomorrow. Bill James Bill, Are you saying th...

Re: Welt for bottom edge of roof

I'm getting ready to have a top installed (can't do it myself :( ) and am looking at the same Marco pictures. (Actually, I'm printing them off so I can show my installer exactly how I want it done) I think it is important that folks realize that the cowl welt is not the same thing as a hide-em welt....

Re: Installing new top 82A CC PU

I just reviewed Marco's pictures again and note that he is putting that top on while the body is sitting on the floor. And the doors are not in place.
Just an observation.

Re: Installing new top 82A CC PU

OK Thanks. Got it. We should bolt the body in place and square and align the doors and top. No chicken wire was used. This "black material" you speak of. How heavy a material is it? Like a headliner? Then we put down padding? Then the top material is stretched and fastened down around the ...

Installing new top 82A CC PU

We are getting very close to having the body restored. A couple of questions. 1. Is it best to completely install body on frame before we start installing a new top? 2. The last time I installed a new top (a long time ago :( ) I used chicken wire. Some of the instructions now say to use "fabric...

Is there an experienced upholsterer in the Portland OR area?

We are getting ready to put the top on and get the interior ready.
Are any members of the forum aware of an experienced upholsterer in the Portland OR area?
