Working on 29 AA brakes, there are 2 long return springs on front brake rods and 2 short return springs on 2 rear rods. If I order a 6 piece spring kit for the A car, will these fit the 29 AA ?

28-29 AA had a front axle similar to the A, the difference would be the spindle and hub, the king pins were .812 up to oct. 1929, after that the front axle on the AA was heavier with bigger king pins, spindle and hubs. Yes, your correct about the bump and recess. I thought the race was correct when I installed it, any slight tap will cause one of the pointed ends of the split race to push out slightly. It was hard to notice because of the grease in the race until I wiped it clean.
